ABOUT KACEY:

I can’t remember a time in my life when music wasn’t the centerpiece. As a child, I studied classical piano for ten years and played string bass throughout my elementary and high school years.  Eventually, my main instrument became guitar.  My songwriting career also started early with my first ‘composition’ entitled, “I Wish I Had a Doggie Like Rin Tin-Tin” (written at age 5).  Music is part of my DNA.  Music is the Great Communicator.  It transcends cultures, language barriers, and geography.  It makes life worth living.

It is also a business.

And, I have learned via the ‘School of Hard Knocks,’ what a tumultuous, unpredictable, challenging, sometimes heart-breaking, business it can be.  That’s why I started this consulting company.  I can help you avoid the pitfalls of this industry.  How?  By taking my 30 years experience, along with my most valued industry contacts and connections, and sharing them with you.

What qualifies me to depart such ‘wisdom’ to others?  Simply stated, I’ve worn nearly every ‘hat’ in the music business.  As a Recording Artist, I’ve had two Major label deals.  As a Record Producer, I’ve worked with some of the biggest names in the Country and Americana genres and produced a # 1 album.  As a music Publisher I’ve had a chart-topping Billboard Country hit, received an ASCAP Award, and a Platinum Album Certification.  As a Songwriter, I’ve had a Top-5 Billboard Country hit.  As a Record Label President, I have successfully managed two nationally distributed indie labels for the past ten years.  As a Project Manager I’ve consulted the careers of several artists, including managing their budgets.  And, as a principle investor in one of Music Row’s most successful Radio Promotion companies, I am acutely aware of how radio works

Whether it’s artist development, creating a publishing company, establishing a record label, planning a strategic radio promotion campaign, developing marketing strategies, pitching corporate sponsors, or finding the right publicist, distributor, or manager… I can help you identify the most productive opportunities, implement the best strategies, and formulate new marketing ideas…all while keeping your integrity, and mine, intact.

difficulties
of your own choosing, in the direction you want to become.”
